Our story

We are Sara and Katie Carey: sisters, best friends and lifelong believers in the power of flowers. With over a decade of hands-on experience each in the floral design industry, we’ve turned our passion for blooms into a business rooted in creativity, trust and genuine care.

We’re Kentucky girls through and through, born in Louisville and raised in Henry and Shelby counties. We spent our childhoods outside in the woods, creeks and fields exploring the land and coming up with new games and ideas. Our mother, Master Gardener and landscaping extraordinaire, always had flowers blooming in our yard so naturally, we always had little vases dotting every windowsill and table. It wasn’t surprising that we both grew up to become florists at two different traditional brick & mortar shops where we gained experience in design for every occasion.

We both loved our jobs, but knew we wanted to work together again. We also knew we wanted to focus on the happier occasions and so Dreamweaver Floral Designs was created!

Here we focus on weddings and celebrations. Why? Because we love love, we love our clients and we love getting every little detail on your dream day just right. We believe flowers do more than decorate - they tell your story. Do soft cremes and blush make your heart flutter? Do classic white and blue hues make you swoon? Or could it be a bright and colorful mix that makes your heart sparkle? From traditional to whimsical, creating floral designs that are a reflection of each of our unique clients’ style and dreams is what makes our flower-hearts happy.

And when you get right down the root of it, happiness, that’s what makes our flower-hearts bloom. That’s our “why”. And we hope you’ll let us bring some of that joy to your event.

Today, we proudly serve the Louisville area and beyond. We’ve delivered as far as Morehead, KY and are always willing to consider travelling further. Life is an adventure, after all! We can’t wait to be a part of yours!
